It should be noted that Reed submitted this piece to me the morning before Thursday night's game. Due to life being crazy the last couple days, this is the first I've had a chance to get the article up. My apologies to both Reed and everyone who reads this series of articles regularly. My fellow gamblers, good evening. Another 2-3 week after my hot start. Sunday felt worse than it was for me for two reasons. Saturday night I had UCLA(+3.5) over Stanford. UCLA was down by three and had the ball with two seconds left in the game. So all they have to do is throw a "Hail Mary" and I win. Instead the QB gets sacked and fumbles the ball. And, rather than just jumping on the ball to end the game, the Stanford D-lineman picks it up and runs it back for the touchdown for the impossible cover. The second reason was that Arizona game. I put in my write-up last week that this game was more covered in red flags than an ex-girlfriend texting you at 2:30am asking how things are going. Yet I still went with it. If you took my two political bets you made money though. Trump didn't say 'Crooked Hillary' and since it was an underdog made enough to cover the other debate bet with a little to spare. Season Record: Overall (9-6) Spread (5-4) Total (2-1) Teaser (2-1) I'm going with the same thing I did last week and teasing the Thursday Night Game. The line I'm getting is CIN(-7.5) If this was Bengals by 7 I'd consider going minus the points, if your book offers 7 I don't think it's a bad bet, but I'm never going to put up an official pick here that I don't have my money on, and all I can get is -7.5.
Bengals(-1.5) sounds just fine though against a Dolphins team that needed the Browns to miss three field goals in order for the game to even go to overtime in Miami. The Bengals are also 1-2 though, and in their one win they only managed a slim victory over a Jets team that also could have beaten them if their field goal kicker was accurate. I'll take the home team here. To pair with it I'll take Jacksonville(+9) at “home” (the game is being played in London with the Jags as the home team) against Indianapolis. This Colts team just can't seem to gel around Luck the way we all thought they would and if the Jags can keep the Packers to within 4 and the Ravens to within 2, they can keep the Colts to within 9.
